Root Cause Investigation: Perform electrical testing (Curve Trace, ATE), non-destructive testing (X-ray, SAM), and physical destructive testing (De-capsulation , SEM, FIB, PEM, FTIR) to identify failure mechanisms. Reporting: Create detailed analytical reports for internal cross-functional teams and external customers. FMEA Contribution: Work with design and manufacturing teams on Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to mitigate risks. Product Improvement: Recommend design or manufacturing process changes to improve yield and reliability. Lab Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate analytical tools like Microscopes, FIB, SEM, and other FA tools Required Skills and Qualifications Education: NTTF/ Diploma/Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Physics, or Materials Science. Experience: 1-6 years years of experience in semiconductor failure analysis. Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in operating FA equipment: Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), Focused Ion Beam (FIB), X-Ray, SAM. Hardware debugging and circuit troubleshooting. Knowledge of semiconductor fabrication, assembly, and packaging techniques. Statistical data analysis (JMP, Excel). Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving skills, technical writing abilities, and experience in cross-functional collaboration Note: Should be willing to work in Kaynes Semicon Sanand Gujarat facility. Act as the primary point of contact during customs audits, post-clearance audits, investigations, and regulatory reviews. Ensure compliance with regulations governing hazardous goods including IATA DGR, PESO, and CPCB/SPCB requirements. This role acts as the primary integrator between internal Module Engineers, IE Team, the Facility Team, and external General Contractor or A&E Design Firm. You are tasked with establishing site-specific design governance and translating Technology Transfer data into buildable, localized Tool Hookup Construction packages. By reconciling Transfer information and Vendor specifications with facility Points of Connection and system capacities, you ensure the factory is "Ready for Equipment" on schedule and within scope. In this role you will report to the Design Manager, and matrix managed via the Site Tool Hookup Manager Key Responsibility Key Responsibilities Site Design Governance: Establish and document the Project Design Review Schedule, Processes, Systems and Procedures for the new site, including defining 30/60/90% review milestones, technical audit workflows, and the formal approval matrix for all Tool Hookup Construction Issued packages. Includes software systems and databases. Technology Transfer Management: Lead the validation of reference design data from the Technology Transfer Site and collaborate with Owner Module Engineers and the External A&E to validate that process-specific requirements are accurately localized for the new facility. Development of Master Design Packages per Tool Type and a Site Installation Detail workbook for the Project. Facility & Base-Build Alignment: Partner with the Facility Design Team to ensure the Base-Build infrastructure provides sufficient Points of Connection (POCs) and system capacity to meet the aggregated demand of the Module toolsets. Cross reference transfer site specifications with Facilities Specifications, reconcile differences and issue aligned Site Specifications for Tool Hookup GC/A&E Firm Oversight: Function as the primary Owner representative to manage the external GC/A&E firm. Audit their engineering deliverables for quality, ensuring they translate and reconcile data into individual site-specific Tool Hookup Designs that adhere to local codes, project specifications, and meet the overall Project Schedule Vendor Specification Management: Interface between Tool Vendors (OEMs), Module Engineers, and the GC (General contractor) to capture the latest equipment utility requirements, ensuring designs reflect the most current information. System Capacity & POC Cross-Checking: Perform rigorous Utility Load-to-Capacity analysis, cross-checking the facility supplies against the Module demand to identify and resolve capacity gaps before tool move-in. BIM & Spatial Coordination: Direct the 3D BIM coordination process to ensure clash-free utility routing and optimized spatial allocation for tools, maintenance access, and future expansion. Change Control Leadership: Establish and lead the Tool Hookup Design Change Control Board to manage project scope and approved changes to the reference site. Long Description Technical Proficiency: Expertise in Utility Modelling, P&ID/SLD interpretation, and high proficiency in BIM/Navisworks for multi-discipline coordination. Problem Solving: Experience in the use of formal problem-solving techniques and managing ambiguous data sources. Key Responsibility Strategic Sourcing & Procurement • Develop and execute sourcing strategies • Identify, evaluate, and onboard global suppliers • Lead RFQs/RFPs, supplier negotiations, and contract finalization • Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and technology advancements Supplier Management & Qualification • Establish vendor qualification processes in collaboration with quality and engineering teams. • Drive supplier performance metrics (cost, quality, delivery, and technology roadmap alignment). • Conduct supplier audits and ensure adherence to semiconductor industry standards. Technical Collaboration • Work closely with process engineers and R&D teams on material specifications, including: • Evaluate and qualify new materials and second-source suppliers. Supply Chain & Risk Management • Ensure continuity of supply for critical materials and manage supply disruptions. • Develop dual-sourcing strategies and buffer plans for high-risk items. • Analyse supply-demand dynamics and maintain optimal inventory levels. • Collaborate with planning teams to ensure alignment with production schedules. 5. Cost Optimization • Drive cost reduction initiatives through negotiation, volume leverage, and process optimization. • Conduct should-cost analysis • Track cost trends and identify opportunities for savings. 6. Cross-functional Coordination • Engineering (process/material specifications) • Quality (incoming inspection, failure analysis) • Manufacturing (usage, yield impact) • Finance (budget and cost control) Qualification Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Supply Chain, or related field. Experience Young professionals within 5 years of experience ready to re-locate to Dholera/Ahmadabad Semiconductor experience ‘Good to have’.
