You will own the end-to-end process of connecting process tools to essential utility systems—including gases, chemicals, ultra-pure water, and electrical power—to ensure they are online and production-ready. In this role, you will report to the Site Hookup Manager and will be assigned to a specific toolset or module (e.g., Lithography, Etch, Diffusion), serving as the dedicated expert for all hookup activities within that functional area. Safety Role Modelling: Serve as a visible champion for safety, consistently demonstrating and enforcing "Safety First" behaviours onsite and in the field to influence a zero-incident culture. Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the central interface for tool hookup activities, coordinating closely with Facilities Construction for base-build alignment, Site Logistics for equipment move-in, Factory AHMS (Automated Material Handling Systems and the Hookup Design Team Project Lifecycle Management: Plan and execute tool installation projects from conception through to equipment sign-off and turnover. Stakeholder Alignment: Act as the primary liaison between Module Engineers, OEM Equipment Vendors, General Contractors, and Facility teams to ensure seamless integration. Schedule & Budget Control: Maintain detailed project schedules using tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project to meet strict delivery milestones within budget. Control and manage project changes in a structured way, ensuring all scope deviations are documented, impact-assessed, and approved through formal change control processes. Design, Quality Assurance & Utility Coordination: Review and approve hookup designs, engineering plans, and technical documents, ensuring compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and safety regulations. Manage the complex sequencing of connections for process piping, mechanical, electrical, and chemical systems to ensure high-quality, reliable utility integration. The Tata Group operates in more than 100 countries across six continents, with the mission 'To improve the quality of life of the communities we serve globally, through long term stakeholder value creation based on leadership with Trust.’ Key Responsibility Responsibilities: • Execute and supervise mechanical works including HVAC, piping, firefighting and utility systems • Ensure execution as per approved GA drawings, P&IDs, layouts and project specifications • Strong coordination with Civil, Electrical and other MEP services for clash-free execution • Identify and resolve interface issues with Civil and other disciplines • Execute firefighting systems including hydrant, sprinkler and associated packages • Hands-on experience in first fix & second fix execution activities • Experience in shared/common services rack installation and coordination • Review GA drawings and identify discrepancies and coordination gaps • Conduct site coordination meetings with all departments and vendors • Manage contractors ensuring quality, safety and productivity • Monitor progress and prepare reports (DPR/WPR) • Installation, testing and commissioning of mechanical systems • Ensure compliance with QA/QC, ISO standards and safety practices (LOTO, PTW) • Handle vendors such as L&T and similar EPC contractors Qualification BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering Experience Desired Experience Level: 5-10 years Additional Technical Requirements Essential Attributes: • Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping and firefighting systems • Ability to read and interpret GA drawings, P&IDs and layouts • Experience in MEP and Civil coordination and interface management • Familiarity with ISO standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001) related to mechanical works • Knowledge of first fix/second fix and services rack installations • Hands on experience on various pipe laying MS/SS/PPH/PVDF/HDPE/uPVC. • Knowledge of various utilities associated for piping HVAC, AHU, MAU, RCU, chilled water system, centrifugal chillers, compressed Air system (CDA), PCW, Heat exchanger & cooling towers, UPW & WWTP Behavioral: • Strong coordination and communication skills • Problem solving and decision-making • Team collaboration and leadership Experience: • Experience in mechanical construction and execution projects • Strong experience in MEP and Civil coordination and interface issue resolution • Experience in firefighting packages execution • Hands-on exposure to first fix and second fix activities • Experience in shared services rack installation • Experience handling reputed EPC ve

Qualification A Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Wastewater Treatment Technology or other related technical fields. An understanding of advanced chemical engineering kinetics, chemical reaction, fluid dynamics design, heat transfer, and thermal management is key to this role. Knowledge on Ultra Pure Water, Water Reclamation Systems (WWR, AWR, FWL, CMP), Process Supply and Drain Water piping, Scrubber Water Reclaim, Waste Water Treatment, Electrolysis, Acid and Organic Waste Treatment and Reclamation, Vacuum Systems, Chemical Analysis to ensure chemical removal etc. Predictive, Preventive, Proactive, and Reactive Maintenance programs to sustain a 24x7 operations of the fab.
